For the times your trip actually makes it out of the group chat, you’ll want the destination to be New Orleans.

New Orleans is one of our favorite cities to recommend for small group getaways. With its charming architecture, whimsical streets, and truly unique sense of place, New Orleans offers amazing food, vibrant culture, and so many fun things to do (and yes, we mean beyond getting silly on Bourbon Street!).
Here's everything you need to know for planning your next trip:
Destination Basics:
When to go:
The best time to visit New Orleans is October–December or March–May, when the weather is mild and comfortable, ranging from 60°F to 80°F.
Of course, there’s Mardi Gras in late February. This world-famous celebration falls before Ash Wednesday, with two weeks of parades leading up to it. Expect cooler temperatures (55°F to 70°F) and check specific dates for the festivities.
How long to stay:
A long weekend up to four days is the perfect amount of time to experience the city without feeling rushed.
